Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park
1000 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI

Join us in a celebration of the lifelong learning opportunities available through Aquinas College and our Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) program!
This year’s reimagined event will include a “Chat with an Expert” cocktail hour, three quickfire fun fact presentations, team trivia, and more.
Most importantly, we honor Sheila Pantlind and Dave Faber for their incredible efforts in education across West Michigan. We invite you to raise a toast to Sheila and Dave, as well as the 50th Anniversary of the OLLI program at Aquinas College.
Sheila Pantlind, Norbert J. Hruby Emeritus Award Honoree
Sheila served as director of curriculum and instruction for Choice Schools Associates, principal at Three Oaks Academy in Muskegon Heights, and as assistant principal and teacher with East Grand Rapids Public Schools. After fifteen years of leading OLLI to record membership, facilitating a second $1 million Osher endowment, and navigating COVID, Sheila took a much deserved retirement in March 2024.
Dave Faber, Aquinas College President’s Award Honoree
David Faber began his transformative career in education as a teacher at Lincoln Elementary
School in Zeeland before serving as principal of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School
for seventeen years. As superintendent of Catholic schools in the Diocese of Grand
Rapids, he oversaw the expansion and vitality of parochial education and enrollment
by tripling available scholarship opportunities, creating two new Catholic schools,
and hiring talented educators and administrators to transform outreach efforts. Dave
will retire in June 2025.
